AFP-Vermont

About Us

Our mission is to empower Vermonters to pursue their own vision of the American Dream by removing government barriers that limit opportunity. Across the Green Mountain State, we partner with communities to advance common-sense policies that make Vermont a better place to live, learn, work, and thrive. We focus on lowering the cost of living, expanding access to affordable healthcare, reforming burdensome regulations, defending taxpayers from harmful tax hikes, unlocking housing opportunities, and promoting energy abundance and educational freedom for all.

Vermont Legislative Agenda

Together, Let’s make Vermont the best place to live, learn, work, and thrive.

Priorities

Healthcare

Vermont’s healthcare system could benefit from a simple yet transformational removal of the burden of Certificate of Need laws. Vermont must also reject harmful legislation that imposes unnecessary regulations and poorly designed subsidies.

Energy

Act 18 places unnecessary restrictions on energy development, driving up costs for consumers and limiting Vermont’s energy independence. Repealing Act 18 will help unlock affordable energy solutions and promote a more competitive energy market.

Economic Opportunity

Address Vermont’s high cost of living and
eliminate barriers that restrict Vermonters’ ability to earn and achieve success.
